Postage, Payment & Sales Policies

Thanks for looking at my collection of diecast cars that I am selling. I am not a business, I am a collector trying to make his hobby self supporting! These cars are excess to my collecting requirements, or have been acquired in trades for other cars I have been looking for.

I am always open to trades - if you see cars I am selling and you have checked my 'wanted' page, email me and we may be able to work something out.

How you purchase from me

  • Email me at capdiecast at gmail dot com with the list of cars you would like.
  • I will calculate the total, and add postage and registered post costs, and email you back with details on either my direct deposit details, or my Paypal details. It is your choice.

Sales Policy

  • I will happily refund your money if a diecast car is not as described when you receive it.
  • Look at all photos carefully, you can email me and ask for more.
  • All models are in mint, non played with condition.
  • That majority of diecast cars are at one price per page, each.
  • Individual diecast cars at different prices will be highlighted in the specific cars description.
  • Always read the description of each car - any changes to the above will be noted in each cars description.
Payment

  • I prefer payment into my account via direct deposit. You may use Paypal, but there will be an extra fee of $1.50 due to the costs that Paypal impose upon me.
  • International purchasers must use Paypal
  • I am open to trades. if you see something you want, and have something to trade - email me and we might be able to work something out. Look at my Diecast Wanted page.
Postage

  • Postage is based on weight. As a guide, I can mail 4 to 6 Matchbox 1-75 1:64 type cars for around $7.00. I can mail two 1:43 cars for around the same rate. After this, it jumps to the next postage weight band. Go to Australia Posts website and look at parcel postal rates. On top of this I add a small cost for packaging.
  • If the purchase is over $10 dollars I highly recommend registering your purchase.
  • All items over $20 dollars will be shipped by registered post. This will cost an extra $2.50 on top of the $7.00 postal charge
  • I use Australia Post packaging and wrap your purchase with the utmost care. I want you to receive your car in the same way as I would expect to receive it. I use bubblewrap, foam beads and new packaging. Occasionally I may reuse a box, but only if it is in exceptional condition.
  • I will not just mail a car in an envelope. Just because a car cost you 2 dollars, is no reason to risk damaging it in transit. Neither of us will be happy.

International Postage

Yes I will ship overseas, Email for details.
